No. As of 23 September 2026, EA has announced no World Cup mode and no 2026 World Cup content in EA SPORTS FC 27.
That content belongs to the previous game. EA SPORTS FC 26 added a World Cup mode through its The World’s Game update, because the tournament was played in summer 2026. FC 27 does not release until 25 September.
The international tournament EA has confirmed for FC 27 is the AFC Asian Cup 2027.

You can verify this quickly. Open the official FC 27 news list and you will find club membership, launch rewards, the first gameplay livestream, the launch update, the soundtrack and a run of deep dives. There is no World Cup entry.
The official pre-order page is the same. It lists five feature blocks: The Grounds, gameplay, the transfer market, FUT Gallery and authenticity. No World Cup.
Why people still search for it
Players are looking for substitutes, and some are waiting for a future update.
The 2026 World Cup finished in the summer, but the mode itself remains popular. National teams, a short tournament and knockout rounds are hard to replicate inside club leagues.
Three workarounds exist in the community:
- Build a custom tournament in FC 27 that copies the format
- Use a mod that ports the FC 26 World Cup content across, such as the project listed on Nexus Mods
- Go back to FC 26 and play the original mode

Its The World’s Game Tournament offers more than 50 licensed national teams with a customisable tournament flow, broadcast moments, team showcases and a dedicated stadium.

Trust two places only: the official FC 27 news list and the official pitch notes.
When you see a claim elsewhere, ask three questions:
- Does it link to an official announcement
- Does it say announced, or merely reported

Mods and community projects can be good, but official updates will not inherit them, and they are not official plans.
